First Week Back

Somebody has the Mondays!!!!!!!

Well we made the trip with not to many problems. The VUE did receive a few cracks in the windshield and my guitar hero's wireless receiver is not working but the rabbits and Nora made it so I guess that is a deal. It is a very interesting endeavour traveling cross country with 8 rabbits. There is no are we there yet or i need to go to the bathroom. What you get is a lot of thumping and chewing noises. Not to mention the sleeping in the hotel room with them. It is a little know fact that rabbits are nocturnal creatures. This means that at about 1 to 2 in the morning they all are awake and ready to play. So as I try to sleep from driving 10 to 12 hours they are all chewing on their toys and crunching on their food. So it made for a not so restful night of sleeping. We now have the camera here and should be able to take some pictures to post now. I will leave that up to Nora to get going.

This is Superbowl weekend here in Arizona. I plan on celebrating it by getting the pods delivered and hopefully unloaded. I hope to have this all done by the time the game comes on. This will be my motivation. It will be nice to have all my stuff back and not be living out of a box anymore. Well that is about all I have for tonight. Sorry it was short but I am spent.

The spirit of a man!

Well yesterday was fun. The washer and dryer were delivered at 5:00pm and I spent the rest of the night hooking them up.

Buying Detergent:

Nora purchased a new type of washer that uses HE (High Efficiency) laundry detergent. All I have to do is buy the one marked HE. No problem right! Wrong. As I go to the store to purchase this special detergent I am faced with a great dilemma. I must make the proper decision on what detergent to purchase. I know that I need to make this choice correctly to prove to myself that I can handle this simple task without the direction of Nora. Now being with out Nora for around 5 months to tell me what I should be doing should be a liberating experience. This however is not the case. I have realize that I can not make a decision on anything without a tiny little Nora voice asking me if I have made the correct decision. Do not get me wrong I am not complaining because before Nora most of the decision I made on my own were wrong so I am grateful.

Anyways back to the problem at hand. I made it to the correct aisle in the store and I am looking at the HE detergents. These come in different colors, scents, and brands. They all have the proper HE label but what is this? They are all marked for front loaders! Well that could be a problem because ours is a top loader. So as I stare at the detergent waiting for one of the labels to magically change to say for top loaders and to have a golden hallow surrounding it so I know this is the proper detergent to buy I come to the realization that I have completely lost my ability to make a decision with out Nora's input. So I am so unsure that I have to call Nora who is 3000 miles away and double check. Now when she says yes dear it will be fine get that one. I feel like a child that just got a gold star on their homework assignment. All I know is that if I could not have gotten a hold of her I would have walked out of the store with out buying anything.

Installation

I return home from my detergent shopping quest and get ready to redeem myself with some physical labor. I get the washer connected and running with no problems. I even get a load started. "This is great" I think to myself. "I can have the dryer hooked up by the time my first load is done". I think this to myself at about 6:30. Around 9:30 I am still working on the dryer due to the fact that The Incredible Hulk attached the gas line cap to the line coming into the house and me being a mortal man can not get this thing to budge. As well as the fact that the contractor just for fun used a bigger exhaust pipe than what the manufacture said was standard so that I was required to creatively attach my flex pipe to the exhaust stack. I have now been sitting on the floor for 3 hours. But slow and steady wins the race and all that and I get it all installed and working. The key here is perseverance as well as the fear of going to the laundry mat located in downtown Mexico to dry my cloths!

Just dessert

Upon this taxing day I felt it is my right to have a nice reward. As many of you know I have an affection for sugary goodness. So I finished the last of the ice cream in the freezer and called it a night. Once Nora gets here with the camera I will post some pics of the finished installation.

Well that is all I have for this evening.

Blog, Blog, Blog

Well I have taken the challenge and created this site. I am hoping to use it to keep everyone posted on the Phoenix Adventure. I will be leaving to get Nora on Friday. I am excited to finally get her out here. It will be nice to have a normal life back with her and the rabbits. If you can call having eight rabbits normal! I spent most of my day today putting the ceiling fans in. Larry helped me install four of the 6. We also have part of the entertainment center built. Our plan is to finish the rest of it and install the last two fans tomorrow. For those of you that do not know Larry is the person that moved out here to work at DMJM with me. He worked at Ghafari with me. We have been living in a apartment together for about 5 month to save money. We have let him move into the house to help him save money until he moves back to Michigan. Things did not go so well for him and his family here. They have moved back to Michigan. He will be moving back once he finds a job there. Some people can not handle the sunny days. As for me I am loving it here. Things are going great at work. I got a raise this week and I should be able to get another one in 3 month or so. We have closed on the house and I have moved in. Attached are pictures. The back yard is still not landscaped but we are working on getting a pool. I had to turn the furnace on for the first time today. The house gets cold at night with all the tile and no furniture to absorb some heat during the day. It is kind of weird not having to have heat turned on after Christmas. I am hoping not to have to have to run it very much. Want to save on the energy bills. Well I think this is enough for my first entry here. I hope I can have some interesting things to post. If not I will at least have pictures and will make Nora make some entries.
